This is the thank-you email from Chris Lonie last year :

Once again our Club members and family helpers did an outstanding job on Sunday at the Gold Coast Marathon. It is such a pleasure working together to provide refreshments for the runners after their grueling ordeal. Everyone just jumped in and did whatever was required or where they could see a need.

When we were leaving Sandra (area supervisor) thanked us and asked us to please come back again next year. This is indeed a compliment coming from such an experienced lady, who has overseen the GCM for thirty two years.

So with that, I want to thank each and every one of you for having very little sleep the night before and getting out of bed in the dark, to support our Club in this fundraising activity. So much better than selling raffle tickets, I say.
