Venue: Winders Park, Duringan St - Currumbin Creek, Gold Coast, Queensland

Clubs must adhere to Covid19 safety plan – distance club marque’s a minimum of 5 meters apart – all paddlers to sign Covid19 contact tracing form or on your Ipad.

Sweeps/Managers Meeting - 8am, please have a team representative present.

First Race - Racing will commence at 8.30am – boat loading to commence at 8:15am – clubs to manage their own boat loading – and sanitising sweep oar, seats, gunwale and drum seat for next team.

Race Distances - 1,000 meters – 200 meters

Categories – 1,000 meters Standard boat - Mixed

       1,000 meters Small boat - Mixed

          200 metres Standard boat – Women / Mixed 

          200 metres Small boat  - Women / Open / BCS / Junior

Medals for first place in each category - Minimum of three (3) entries required in order to run a category.

In an effort to limit paddler numbers (Covid19 Safe) the first 8 entries (only) in each category will be excepted.

One team entry per category, double rostering between standard and small boats is not permitted. This includes sweeps or drummers in one crew participating as a paddler in another crew.

BCS the exception, they can race in women’s category, but racing will not be held up to get from boat to boat.

Standard boat - Standard boat ration for mixed racing will be 10 men maximum.

Standard boat minimum, 16 paddlers plus a drummer and sweep – maximum 8 males in mixed crew.

Standard AusDBF Rules of racing apply, any exceptions will be at the discretion Event Organisers

Sweeps: must be DBQ level 3 or higher or designated as provisional. Sweeps can be of any gender in Open and Mixed categories. Women sweeps required for Women’s teams.
 

Entries: to be submitted on Rev/sport by Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Entry Fees:  $15 per paddler - $5 Juniors – to be paid before the event - payment to Bendigo Bank – BSB 633000 /ACC 153409446 - Reference your name. - Need help contact Marie Hanson treasurerdagc@gmail.com

Crew Lists: please print one copy for administration - DBQ ID Tags not required, armbands will be used for ID.

Rules of Racing - Current AusDBF rules of racing regarding categories will apply.

Safety - All crew members MUST be able to swim 50 metres or wear a PFD life vest, supplied by your club.

Race Draw: will be emailed to clubs - please print your own copies of draw.

First draw emailed - Monday November 30th, 2020. Any changes to the final draw will be dealt with at the Sweep and Managers Meeting. Times in heats to determine crews and lanes for places in the final.

Protests – to be lodged to Secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the official results being posted, $50 fee applies.

Prizes for best decorated tent  and best dressed  team. Raffles, barbecue, and coffee van will be available on site.

Clubs are requested to clean up their area at the end of the day and take home their rubbish.
